When Kunal Sharma arrived in Dubai in January 2025, he did what countless expats do every year — he started dreaming about owning property here. And like most of them, he quickly ran into the same wall: a mortgage process that felt designed for someone else. Endless paperwork. Conflicting advice. Banks that spoke in jargon. Weeks of waiting with no clarity on where things stood.

Kunal didn't have a decade in UAE finance. He had something different — years in sales, an obsession with the customer experience, and a clear vision of what this process should feel like. So instead of complaining about it, he built Mortigo.

The UAE mortgage market is booming. Dubai recorded hundreds of billions in property transactions in 2025 alone, and more expats than ever are choosing to buy rather than rent.
